Bio

Roz Harvey is a multi-faceted creator, whose fascination with how quantum theory, memory encoding, astronomy and spiritualty influence perception and belief.

Roz’s journey has taken her from a small town in rural western Canada, to Barcelona, Spain where she began her creative writing path while working in the city’s Gothic neighbourhood. Serendipitous encounters were many, including one evening which led to a dinner invitation with Eduard Punset, a Spanish politician, lawyer, economist, author of books on social thought, as well as Professor of Science, Technology and Society at Ramon Llull University. At the time, he was the director and host of a weekly science tv show called Redes, which was a huge inspiration for her debut sci-fi thriller Uplink 11: Back to You.

She was also fortunate to meet Montserrat Alcoverro, a Spanish Actress from Barcelona who was the source of influence for Eloisa, one of the protagonists in the story.

In Uplink 11: Back to You, set in current day Spain, Roz has delved into unsolved ancient mysteries to reveal the link between world mythology and mystical practices, and finding one’s true purpose in life, which according to the ancients, is there in plain sight.

The adventure will take you on a modern-day historically accurate treasure hunt to find and decipher the clues left by the ancients in artifacts such as the Bayeux Tapestry, and Cyrus Cylinder, to save the Earth from its imminent demise. The story links the missing pieces from the artifacts to reinterpret their messages, and in doing so, provides an alternate explanation of not only their meaning, but of our existence.

Everything you thought you knew about yourself and about life on Earth will come into the spotlight. The real question is, will you believe it?

Roz’s deepest wish is that the story of Uplink 11: Back to You will spark your sense of wonder and awe of everything on this planet and in our galaxy, and most importantly, serve to help you rediscover who you are.
